Voyage: Northern Quebec

Quebec is a province filled with wonderful resources and scenic landscapes. Les Escoumins, located about 507 km North of Montreal is a small town of the 'Cote-Nord' facing the estuary of the St. Lawrence River and is ideal for whale watching from May to October. From Beluga to great blue whale, they have a dozen species that come every year. To see the whales, I suggest not paying a fortune in a whale cruise: 1- there are several observation sites on land. National parks are your friends. 2 - you will not be contributing in polluting and disturbing the natural habitat of marine wildlife. The whales come very close to the shore, you can almost touch them. A breathtaking scenery.

At night, it's simple. Several campsites or Bed & Breakfast are close to accommodate tourists. For food, snacks on the go and a stop at a local fish market to try the fresh seafood of the day. Nothing better.

In my suitcase, it is only natural - earth tone colors in order to merge with the environment that surrounds me.
